**has coughing fit**

Wow, that’s a lot of dust. :o)

Howdy neighbors. Long time no see.

I was checking my email and I had a rather lovely review from someone about one of my fics. They still trickle in every now and then and I get a jolt of nostalgia each time. Oh, how I miss you all. I’m strongly considering revisiting one of my half finished fics just because I want to get it done. I jumped on LJ and was please too see that people were still reading, still writing, still reccing, still having fun. It warmed my cockles…I didn’t even know I had cockles.

Let’s catch up shall we……

I am currently writing from my new home. Senior Tart and I just bought a new house. Our first house to be exact. It’s drafty, and in need of a lot of work, but we love it. I feel like I could grow old here.

I’m still not thrilled with my job, but I still have one which is a lot more than I can say for some these days. And they love me; I just got a raise and a bonus actually. But it isn’t enough for the crap I deal with on a daily basis. This is probably why I had such cold cockles.

Sister is still getting a divorce. He’s turned out to be a bigger ass than I ever could have thought. It saddens me. I won’t talk about this any more. As you can imagine it’s been something that my family has been dealing with for some time and I’d rather hold on to my current happy mood just a little longer.

Sister in law is having twins. There’s more to say about this but I’m not ready to just yet. More on this later. Come to think of it there’s been a lot of drama in my life these past six month. Most of it hasn’t been fun. This goes to further explain my absence.

So enough about me. Really I see that look in your eye and I can’t be responsible for your falling asleep on your desk. Drool can really wreck your keyboard.

Give me a rundown of what you’ve been up to or anything going on around here. What is everyone doing? What is everyone reading? Where is all the angst? The wank? What the latest and greatest?

I’m begging for news here.

With love,

TTT

Ooo, a new old house! I know just how you feel. They are such fun and such a challenge. We put in a new sewer main this spring a week before I had to have an emergency colonoscopy so you imagine how much I enjoyed it! The sewer main, not the clean out for the colonoscopy. Boy, it is nice to be able to flush every five minutes and not worry about flooding the basement!

Well hello there.

Sewers and colonoscopies. That's a tough week. :o)

We have septic. I miss sewerage - I flushed with great abandon as well.

How are you otherwise?

SEVERE anemia, which turned out to be related to fibroids and being 50, led to an emergency transfusion but it turned out NOT to be endometrial cancer. Had a generally ghastly year but am still hanging on.

Yikes! That's rough.

My year's been tough too. The new house goes a long way to saving this year but between my sister's divorce, my ridiculous work hours, my husband getting laid off, and my third miscarriage in two year's I was ready to run away from home.

Hang in there. We are stronger than be appear on paper. :o)

One of those years where if everything had been spaced out over several years, it wouldn't have been so bad but coming one thing after another. . .

Amazing what we can handle when we have to.

Darling!!!!!!

You know I was just thinking of you. I was cleaning out some files and I came across a picture you drew for me and it made me happy all over again. Thanks again for that. :o)

I am actually just reading Twilight. It's fun but I haven't fallen just yet. Time will tell.

I'm thrilled I made it in time to read Snupin Santa. Just what I wanted for Christmas?

yay!!! I'm glad it made you smile! Which one was it the Ron/Draco or the Remus/Severus, or the Snape/Luna?

Twilight, i didn't read it but saw a little clip of the movie and so had to incorporate snupin into it.

Hi! *hug tackle* I too have been gone from Snupin ofr a bit - grad school = vicious. But if you do anything on the computer, go check out The Sultan and the Storyteller by McKay and Arionrhod. Its the latest novel/fairy tale in Snupindom and its addictive.
Drama sucks but I'm glad y'all have a house in which to curl up with each other and have wholesome holiday fun *hugs, runs off to homework*

Hey there!

Thanks for the suggestion. I think I will check that out.

Drama will always be there. I just seemed to deal with it better when I had fandom. I'm starting to come out from under so let's see what that brings with it.

Oh, and good luck with Grad school!

Tart!!!!! *hugs hard* Welcome back, even if only for a bit!

As for me...

Let's see. I published a real, live, genuine article on medieval quilting, left my horrible, soul-sucking job and am working at a much different one, and will be starting graduate school on-line this winter to get an MA in textile studies. I had work done on my house, am embarking on a massive cleaning expedition this weekend, and just finished my Snupin Santa fic.

Also, cats are cat-like...;)

Hey El,

Good to hear you're still around and still writing. I hope to be around more frequently. I really do miss this place.

Congrats on the article and the new job and all the other good stuff! Especially the job. I do recall how unhappy you were there. Can't wait to see the Snupin fic. It's like medicine for my slashy soul. :o)

Can you tell that most of the Snupin people moved to IJ? *snicker*

I always miss you, and seeing you post never fails to make me smile. I'm sure you're not interested in a report from me, but I just wanted to give you hugs so you'd know I was still reading.

*HUGS* <3

love, lore

LORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Of course I'm interested in a report from you. You're one of my favorite parts of fandom. :o)

I did find it interesting that so many Snupin people were on IJ. Do you post here exclusively?
